This amazing couple arrived in Jacksonville in the 1920's and during the Great Depression acquire lands along the Trout River to build this and nearly 15 other homes between 1935 and 1958. As self-taught architects, this amazing couple incorporated rounded interior corners, stucco finished interior and exterior walls, concrete sill plates under the windows, curvilinear entry overhangs, flat roofs and signature drainpipe adornments that were all common design elements.
