Originally built as a four-storey Πύργος (tower) in 1100! Around mid-1800s, following king's Othon call, the Πύργος was cut in half in an attempt to control the ferocious resistance of the inhabitants who would be fortified inside the tall-thin Πύργος and would make impossible to conquer. What remained from the Πύργος (two floors) were bought and re-built from my great grand father, Savvas. The struggles, though, did not end there as the house was burnt during the civil war in mid-1900s. Again the house was restored by my grandfather, Ilias, in 1962 until my mother Polly fully renovated it in 2010!
