We call it "Brickyard" because as were renovating it last year, it seemed that everywhere we put a shovel in the ground, we foundANOTHERbrick! That makes sense when you realize that "Brickyard" sits right next to The Sherwood-Menton House, the former school and later the Civil War hospital -- one of the most storied and historic houses in Cape Girardeau. Located downtown, near Old Lorimer Cemetery, "Brickyard" sits on a high bluff, overlooking two parks.
