- Just down from the cottage is the famed Trestle Bridge w/ unreal views.
- Lake Onawa is a clean, clear lake and you can access it just 2 mins away from the cottage via an improved public boat launch that was redone in 2021. You can also swim from the boat launch. Additional swimming is nearby at Wilson Stream or up at Moosehead Lake in
