We are five people, 2 dogs, 2 garage/catio cats (not in the main house), and 8 chickens on 2 acres, five minutes east of downtown Lafayette in a 12-sided, passive solar house. (Sorry--we can't take more animals.)
The cost of the room actually varies from$600-950,including utilities and shared costs (I can send a list of those). Everyone in the house engages in some trade, but the $950 would be with no trade--the current resident pays $600 including all utilities and shared costs, so it depends on how many trade hours you want to complete.
