In the late 1800's, George and Lillie Winters homesteaded here. They were the first to settle the Deer Park area, just 4 miles east of Port Angeles, WA. Over the next 100+ years, the farm became a thriving dairy that served wholesome milk to generations of locals. The Deer Park Farmhouse (built in 1950 by the homesteaders' grandson) sits atop a hill overlooking the original homestead site, where the impressive 1917 barn and twin towering silos still stand. The large 5+ bedroom, 3 bath house served home-cooked meals to farmhands and family for decades. Though the dairy is no longer active, the rolling hills and panoramic views remain.
