About This House
Our Mountain House is at 4200 feet elevation, overlooking the beautiful Heaton Creek valley. Full length covered porches and plenty of comfortable chairs offer majestic mountain and valley views and great opportunities to enjoy our cool mountain breezes.
Because of the 4200+ feet elevation we recommend 4 wheel drive vehicles for visits during November thru February. The state keeps Highway 143 fairly clean and the county usually plows Log Cabin Lane by noonish after a snowfall but there will still be some snow on the road and of course in the driveway.
