About This House
Red Gate Cottage, situated on a knoll in Beaverdam Valley, is a vintage log cabin faced with stone. Semiskilled craftsmen working over decades, using stone and antique brick, produced an effect that makes the cottage resemble an ancient stone house in the Alps. The original log walls inside have been restored and preserved.
The luxury renovation by the Architect/Owner features high pine-faced cathedral ceilings throughout. The river stone fireplace is a focal point where people enjoy gathering to watch movies and cable HDTV or to just soak up the relaxing atmosphere.
