The house is located in the countryside, surrounded by untouched nature with great open areas and beautiful views in all directions. The place is in a very calm, quiet and private area. There is a lot of history in this place and there is a church here that is mentioned in the old Icelandic saga Snorraedda. A church has been here since around1200 ADat least, but the current church was built in 1873 and is the oldest building in the local municipality, Borgarbyggð (Mýra and Borgarfjarðar county).
