The Captain’s Cottage is located in the seaport Village of Greenport on the North Fork of Long Island. George Graber was a Steamship Captain and the son of a renowned Schooner Smack Captain named William Anderson Graber. He grew up one street over on Fifth Street, and when he married his wife May Ellen Locker he moved in with her family to this cottage. More recently it was the home to the National Scrabble Association.
