cBay Cottage was built around 1940 as a summer Chesapeake Bay get-away cottage. Folks would pack up the station wagon and head to the bay for a week or for the entire summer! Children would float on inner tubes, catch lively blue crabs, rock fish, 'tooth hunt' and play on the beach while mom and dad would relax and listen to their transistor-radio.
