5 Amazing Neighborhoods to Rent Luxury Apartments in NYC

New York City is certainly home to neighborhoods of all economic classes. However, the city is also renowned for its abundance of luxury neighborhoods. From Manhattan to Brooklyn, the city is not short of highly-priced comfortable accommodation for those who can afford it.

To narrow the choices down for you, we created this list of 5 excellent neighborhoods for luxury rentals in NYC, outlining their features, brief history, and average prices.

Hudson Yards

Hudson Yards is a large neighborhood in Midtown Manhattan between the 30th and 43rd streets. It is home to several ambitious private real estate development projects that include Manhattan West, 3 Hudson Boulevard, and The Spiral. Still, its crown jewel is a new 28-acre ultra-luxury eponymous development, which is reputed as the largest development ever undertaken by private developers in the United States.

One of the neighborhood’s most prominent features is The High Line, an elevated park that runs by the southern and western areas and then extends to the Meatpacking District. It is integrated with the new Hudson yards development buildings.

Dumbo (abbreviation for Down Under The Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is a luxury neighborhood in Manhattan. The area used to be known as Gairville but was named Dumbo by its residents, who were fearful of real estate developers and eventual gentrification in the 1970s.

Tech entrepreneurs and employees are notably young and liberal, and they have helped shape Dumbo’s feel. The neighborhood offers great restaurants and stores and a fantastic view of Lower Manhattan’s skyline. All in an atmosphere of freedom, fun, and safety.
