The community pool at Shipwatch was closed during the first part of the 2020 summer season due to theCOVID-19pandemic. It did finally open near the end of the summer of 2020.
As of the date of this notice, for 2021 we do not have any final word on the pool opening as of yet. The pool is controlled by the Homeowners Association and they follow the NC Governors guidelines and instructions. With mass vaccinations now being underway forCOVID-19,we would anticipate an improvement in minimizing the infection rates by the summer season, which would seem to allow the Governor to make a favorable decision for opening as he did in 2020.
