Winter Updates: Development Improvements, New Feature, and Latest Partnerships

In this post, we’d like to share with you what our team has been working on recently and was able to achieve in the last quarter. At the beginning of the post, we’re excited to present you with some improvements that can make a big difference when it comes to using the platform. Later, we’ll also discuss the new feature created to support Ukrainian refugees and cover minor fixes and modifications.

Major Changes

Google One Tap Implementation

To make logging in to our platform even easier for Rentberry users, we’ve incorporated a Google One Tap feature.  It allows you to create a login or sign up to the website in one click with your Google account. 

What are the main benefits for new and existing users? 

If you’re just joining Rentberry, generally, you can skip the whole process of creating an account on the platform altogether. Simply choose to continue with your Google account and immediately start using our platform as a registered user. And, if you’re a registered user of Rentberry, you can link your Google account in settings to make your login process easier in the future.

Of course, we would still recommend you add your phone number and a short bio later at your convenience. 

Quick Fact: Since Google One Tap implementation, we noticed a 294.20% growth in user signups!

Listings Bulk Upload

Another major change will benefit property managers, landlords, and partners who have larger numbers of properties to list on the Rentberry platform. From now on, if you need to list 10+ rentals on our website, there is no need to do everything manually. Instead, use the bulk upload option.

Landlord Public Profile Improvement

Finally, we made some modifications to the outlook of the landlord’s public profile. One of the main changes is concealing landlords’ contacts from unauthorized users. 

 At Rentberry, we always make users’ safety our priority. For this reason, we never stop looking for new ways to improve the security of using our platform, and these changes are just another evidence of that.

Feature to Help Find Housing for Ukrainian Refugees

Since the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Rentberry team was committed to supporting Ukrainians who suffered from Russian aggression. Almost immediately, we removed the possibility to add listings in Russia and Belarus and restricted access to the website from these countries. Also, we’ve added a banner with account details of the trustworthy organizations that collect funds for the Ukrainian army as well as for humanitarian purposes.

Most importantly, our team developed a new feature for displaced Ukrainians looking for housing due to the invasion and people willing to help them. 

Right now, anyone who’d like to offer their rental for Ukrainian refugees can do this on our platform by checking the dedicated box while adding the property. These listings will receive a special badge and unlimited property promotion and will be displayed at the top of the search results. Ukrainians in need of housing can use a custom filter to search only through those properties.

We have a strong hope that this solution will ease the lives of displaced Ukrainians and assist them in finding a temporary safe place to stay until they are ready to come back home.
